Didimeri has all the products you’ll need while living and working on stations all over Australia!
Not only are our products sourced from Aussie businesses, they are also great quality & very affordable.
Hi there! Our names are Imi and Josie. We are sisters and co-founders of Didimeri!
IMI'S STORY: I have been living and working on cattle stations in remote Australia since 2010, I was only heading up for one year to figure out exactly what I wanted to do with my life - one year quickly turning into thirteen. I have mustered both horseback and now as a helicopter pilot. I love the lifestyle and encourage anyone I come across to give it a go if they ever get the chance.
So why did we decide to create Didimeri? Every year I see the new Jillaroo’s and Jackaroo’s turn up on the station and it isn’t till they get here that they realise all the gear they actually need so, creating essential kits for anyone headed to outback Australia for the first time would not only be helpful, but would also give parents peace of mind who are sending their kids off on a new adventure.
JOSIE'S STORY: I've always been passionate about animals and the agriculture industry which stems from not only growing up on a farm but also being surrounded by others who share that passion and are deeply involved in the industry.
So, when Imi came to me with this great idea to help women go out onto stations for the first time, I knew this was a great business idea, but as she is currently living on a station in the Kimberley it meant it would be very challenging for her to do it by herself with the hectic lifestyle she lives with minimal service and wifi, as well as the mail plane only coming once a week, so with that, we decided to finally make it a reality with me running the business from Dubbo.
We are really excited to start this business and hope it helps women living in outback Australia as well as supporting small Aussie businesses.
noun - Pidgin English
"a female in agriculture"
When our grandfather finished Ag college in Australia, he went over to Papua New Guinea and helped them learn and develop their Agriculture industry. He was called a "Didiman".
All our grandparents have played a massive part in our love and passion for the agriculture industry. The name of our business is dedicated to both our grandfathers who not only spent hours teaching us kids all about the land but dedicated their lives to the agriculture industry.
There has been an increase in females working on the land, we want to continue to see this trend and believe the best way to make this possible is to support other women who share the same passion for this industry!
We want to ensure all women have the best start on their new adventure - not only with the right gear but knowing exactly what to expect.
We share stories, advice, knowledge and more from many incredible women and welcome anyone to email or message with any questions.
We support businesses that are Australian made and owned and will buy products from small rural businesses as much as possible.
